Wildlife
The Leopard in Corbett
Leopards are quieter and harder to see than tigers, and they live in a wider range of habitats.
An adaptable cat
Leopards climb trees, hunt at night and use rocky and wooded areas. They can live near the edges of forest and human settlement, which is why resort properties advise caution after dark.
Seeing one
Sightings are uncommon and usually brief. Patience and a good guide help; there is no zone we can name as a certainty.
At your stay
If you are staying near forest edge, follow your resort's advice about walking after dark.
