Frequently asked questions

Can I see a tiger on every safari?

No. Sightings depend on many factors and are never guaranteed.

Which zone is best for a tiger sighting?

No zone can promise a tiger. Ask us which zone fits your dates and group; we will not oversell it.

Is a safari possible during the monsoon?

Most zones close for the monsoon. Some zones have historically stayed open; check the current position with us (confirm with us).

Can I take a drone or a professional camera?

Drones are not allowed. Professional cameras are generally fine but can attract additional camera fees (confirm with us).

Do I need to book a stay to get a safari?

No. But some resorts and package arrangements make planning easier.

Is safari safe for children and elders?

Generally yes with normal precautions, though roads are bumpy; ask us about the specific zone.

How far is Ramnagar from the safari gates?

Distances vary by gate. Where we have figures we show them on each zone page; the rest are marked for confirmation.

Are you the official booking site?

No. Jim Corbett Tourism is a private travel company. Permits are issued by the forest department.
