Jim Corbett Safari Timings
Safari timings in Corbett follow the sun, so they shift through the year. We do not publish a fixed timetable here because a wrong number would cost you a safari.

Two shifts a day
Safaris run in a morning shift that starts shortly after first light and an afternoon shift that ends before sunset. The gate opening and closing times are set by the forest department and change with the season (confirm with us).
Shift by season
- Winter (roughly November to February): mornings are cold and foggy; gates open later.
- Summer (roughly March to June): early mornings are comfortable, afternoons hot; animals gather near water.
- Monsoon: most zones are closed; ask about any zone open in this period.
Which shift is better?
Neither is guaranteed to be better. Mornings are cooler and animals are often more active; afternoons can be busy at waterholes in summer. Doing one of each gives a balanced view.
Check-in time
Arrive at the gate well before the shift begins; permits and identity are checked at entry. Our team will send exact reporting times with your confirmation.
