Jim Corbett Jeep Safari
A private jeep is the most common way to see Corbett. It gives your group control over pace and lets you stop when the guide spots something.

What you get
A jeep safari is a two- to three-hour drive inside a zone in an open vehicle, with a driver and a forest department guide. Your group shares the vehicle with nobody else unless you choose to.
- Open gypsy-style vehicle (capacity (confirm with us) )
- A licensed driver and a forest guide
- Entry only through the zone gate you are permitted for
Booking a jeep
Jeep permits are issued by the forest department for a specific zone, date and shift. Names and ID of the visitors must match. Foreign nationals and Indian nationals may be charged different fees; current fees and quotas are set by the department (confirm with us).
We can check what is open for your dates and tell you plainly if a shift is full.
Preparing for the drive
Dress in muted colours, carry water, a hat and sunscreen in summer and warm layers in winter mornings. The guide's instructions override everything else: keep seated, keep quiet and never lean out of the vehicle.
Expectations
A quiet drive with birds, deer and pug marks is a good safari. A tiger is a bonus. Guests who arrive with that mindset tend to enjoy Corbett most.
