Best Time to Visit Jim Corbett National Park
Most zones of Corbett are open roughly from mid-November to mid-June, and each part of that window feels different. Here is how to choose.

The quick answer
Winter (November to February) is comfortable for sightseeing and popular with families. Late winter into spring (February to April) gives good light and longer days. Summer (April to June) is hot but many people find animal viewing around water good. The monsoon (July to October) is the low season, with most zones closed (confirm with us).
Winter: November to February
Cool to cold mornings, occasional fog and clear afternoons. Dress warm for early shifts. This is the busiest period, so book safaris and stays well ahead.
Spring and early summer: March to June
Warming days, cooler early mornings. Waterholes and river banks draw animals, and many photographers like the open views. Carry sun protection and water.
Monsoon: July to October
Rain, greenery and fewer visitors. Most zones close; a few, historically including Jhirna, have stayed open (confirm with us). Roads can be affected by rain.
Which zone in which season
See our guide Which safari zone to choose. Dhikala is historically open from about 15 November to 15 June, and the Bijrani forest lodges from about 5 November to 14 June (confirm with us).
Public holidays and long weekends
Corbett gets very busy on Diwali, Christmas and New Year and around long weekends. Festival dates change every year, so check the current calendar and book early.
